2B Audi AAN code 20v Turbo 5Cyl. engine conversion
This beautiful car started life as a Graphite Black 4000 q with 115hp.
It however arrived at 2Bennett with 20 years of dents damage and wear. We recommended a different chassis to start such a well planned conversion with a better looking body. The customer wanted to press on with the job in spite of pealed clear coat. So we began.
We removed the engine, battery box, other useless 4000 parts, and repainted the engine bay.
The battery is then relocated to the trunk.
With the now detachable front core support unbolted, all of the various coolers can be seen. All are 2Bennett Products.
= 2B intercooler
= 2B radiator
= 2B oil cooler (shown in photo below)
With the now detachable front core support bolted in place, we installed 2B Coil Program suspension and 2B Stage2 Brakes.
2Bennett Coil Program suspension with 4 corner externally adjustable dampeners [shocks] and 2B Stage2 318mm Brakes to fit inside the customer’s 16″ wheel choice.
This black beast was taken directly to Laguna Seca for a track day. A comment was made “Great car, it’s so ugly”.
One of the customer’s friends talked him into repainting it. He in fact began sanding the body as it sat in our shop in an atempt to get the ball rolling. Our customer then said, “Paint it Imola Yellow”
This was unexpected and we had not scheduled time for such a big job as a full color change paint job.
With that, we took the entire car apart, repaired all the rust, dents, and bad paint, and did a complete color change in our body shop.
This photo is of us pushing the car into the paint booth in the middle of the night. Long stressful days and nights.
Ready for primer and that new Audi Imola yellow paint.
The job completely changed from an engine swap with power and cooling upgrades, track suspension and brakes, to the monumental task all of this plus a complete color change paint job.

The new AAN code 20v 5 cyl turbo engine with RS2 Manifolds, 2Bennett Aluminum radiator, and 2Bennett Aluminum Shock tower Brace mounted to 2B Billet Aluminum Camber adjustable upper strut mounts.
