We bought the car as a “basket case” from a customer that had taken it apart completely to a shell and quit the project. We sold the car to a customer and he put most of it back together with plans to have us install a new engine.

Parts were all in boxes in random order.

One of many details for our 4.2 V8 conversions is the 2B Carbon fiber airbox. It features a flat panel K&N and latch-on top from a B5 RS4.

Engine conversion finished. Under the hood looks as if the A8 engine came in the car from the factory. Including 2B Aluminum radiator, 2B carbon fiber air box, fully functioning air conditioning, 2B engine mounts and brackets, 2B Aluminum flywheel and clutch, 2B full exhaust system, modified subframe, vacuum brake conversion, etc.

After the mechanicals and engine were completed it was determined that the car deserved a complete paint and body refurbishment. The body was disassembled and all the trouble spots were repaired. Fortunately it had only a few small dents and no rust. A beautiful glossy coupe is the result.

This car was restored and updated from end to end. This car was featured in European Car magazine.

It is not uncommon for enthusiasts to request that we transform their “old” Audi Into a substitute for buying a new car. Whether you call it a restoration, rejuvenation, etc, the verbiage is unimportant. While 2Bennett does full restorations, taking Audis back to the way they were when it rolled off the the assembly line, It is more common for us to perform a refreshment with upgrades. This is the story of such a car.

We began the job by pressure washing the engine bay, engine, suspension, and everything else that had road grime. It is fortunately a California car with zero rust or corrosion.

2Bennett Stage2 GT 350mm big brakes with 6 piston Brembo calipers and 2Bennett multi-piece rotors were also previously installed. We gave the front and rear calipers fresh yellow paint to reflect the overall revitalization of the car.

Engine and transmission were serviced along with replacement of many suspension components due to age and wear.

Many Audi engines have complicated and extensive hydraulic assisted timing chain systems. This complicated modern system can be difficult and expensive to work on. We did a thorough refurbishment of wear Items to get the the engine back to It’s peak performance for years to come.

We installed an APR full exhaust system with quad tips and an H&R rear swaybar. This photograph shows the rear bumper before the upgraded look of carbon fiber was applied to the center lower portion.

The APR Carbonio airbox that we installed improves airflow, sound, and are now fully CARB approved for use in California and all 49 other states.

The 2Bennett clear coated and polished Carbon fiber hood sits next to a 2Bennett carbon fiber sunroof delete panel in one of our offices for safe keeping before installation.

We produce high-quality Carbon fiber panels for many Audi models.

A great shot of the 2B Carbon fiber hood, blacked out grill trim and Audi rings, and the distinctive Carbon fiber lower air splitter. We restored the black paint to a beautiful deep shine. The combination of new parts and rejuvenated original parts truly gives the car that is over 10 years old with lots of miles on the odometer the appearance of being a brand-new model.

The Carbon fiber trimmed rear lower valence completes the visual package.

The new European S4 wheels show off the big 2Bennett brakes nicely, front and rear.

2Bennett Coil Program coilover suspension when installed. 2B Suspension is height and dampening rate adjustable. Our packages are custom assembled with spring rates and valving chosen for each customer individually.

At the conclusion of the servicing, the S4 looked new under the hood and everywhere else. This trophy is the result. First place went to another one of our entries, a long wheel base sport quattro that we built the year before. It is the Tornado Red Audi to the left of the S4 in this picture.
